WHO?

I’m Charlie, originally from Kenya; Ireland has been my home for over 20 years.
Growing up in Kenya, I was football mad -Simba Star was my team.
I thought it fitting to pay homage to my Kenyan roots by keeping the name.

I had initially begun a degree in software electronics only to discover that it wasn’t for me. I needed to do something that allowed me to be creative, involved working with others, forming connections and provided opportunities for growth.

Luckily, I went on to study Video Production and I have been enjoying
a career creating video content ever since.

I started my career in video journalism working for the likes of GMTV and RTE.
I then decided to go freelance 10 years ago concentrating on producing professional commercial videos for businesses that promote brands, engage audiences and showcase services.

To diversify I entered the wedding cinematography world. To date I’ve worked on hundreds of weddings over the years. Weddings are my passion. I love meeting couples and their families and documenting what is one of the most important days of their lives.

Simba Star is based in IRE/UK and provides the full video production experience working in projects both within IRE/UK and Internationally. Services include, film coverage, colour grading, sound production and editing. Also Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) licensed for Aerial work.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest equipment and industry training allows for a fresh approach to every project. Relationships with clients are greatly valued – the importance of a combined approach during the production process is essential in creating quality tailored packages.
